Bringing aid to Tamai: Ganga’s Story

Right4Children recently helped provide relief supplies for the village of Tamai in the Dhading District.
We were contacted by a young woman named Ganga who is from the village of Tamai.  She was studying in Kathamandu at the time of the earthquake. 4 days after the quake she was able to contact those in her village and found that all of the homes had been destroyed and that no one had come to help them yet. She used Facebook as a forum to solicit help and on this way, Right4Children was connected with her.
We coordinated a truck full of relief aid from Pokhara and Ganga herself went to her village to deliver the supplies. She is studying environmental management and says she wants to help bring solar lighting to her community as well as a health outpost.
