Right4Children, in collaboration with the Health Division Pokhara, Urban Health Post, Gandaki Medical College, and local community organizations, successfully conducted a Reproductive Health Camp in Nayabasti, Pokhara-29, on February 28, 2025. The event aimed to provide essential reproductive health services, raise awareness, and encourage a proactive approach to women's health.
With 116 female participants, the camp offered vital screenings, counseling, and medical support for various reproductive health concerns. Senior medical professionals conducted visual inspection tests, gynecological checkups, and personal hygiene assessments, addressing common issues like white discharge, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, urinary tract infections, and menstrual irregularities. Special attention was given to educating women on cervical cancer, uterine prolapse, breast self-examinations, and menopause-related complications.

Ward representatives, community leaders, and healthcare professionals emphasized the importance of personal hygiene, early detection, and regular health checkups. The event highlighted the lack of awareness about reproductive health among women in informal settlements, underscoring the need for continued education and healthcare access.
Key findings from the camp included:
✔️ Many women lacked knowledge about reproductive health and the effects of menopause.
✔️ Cases of STIs, cervicitis, and white discharge were prevalent due to poor hygiene.
✔️ Women expressed their concerns openly, indicating a strong need for ongoing healthcare initiatives.
✔️ The local government pledged to support more health camps in the future.
By bringing essential healthcare services to marginalized communities, this initiative played a crucial role in empowering women and promoting a healthier future. Right4Children remains committed to bridging healthcare gaps and ensuring sustainable health solutions for vulnerable groups.
