Gary James Cedeira, an art teacher at Bryanston School—one of Right4Children’s most valued partners—recently made a memorable visit to Nepal. Bryanston School has been a strong supporter of Right4Children, raising funds annually for our sports projects and running an exchange program where Sixth Form students volunteer with community schools in Nepal. This long-standing partnership continues to create meaningful opportunities for students on both sides.
Gary’s visit was inspired by a previous collaboration between our staff member, Rabin Nepali, and Bryanston’s Art Department. Working closely with Gary during a placement at Bryanston, Rabin helped lay the foundation for what would become a vibrant cross-cultural exchange. Motivated by this connection, Gary traveled to Nepal to follow up on the sports project, celebrate students’ achievements, and engage directly with the community.

During his visit on July 15th and 16th, 2025, Gary visited Right4Children’s offices and partner schools, including Machhapuchhre Secondary School. He presented completion and thank-you certificates to students who had participated in a six-month virtual art and cultural exchange program with Bryanston art scholars, recognizing their creativity, dedication, and enthusiasm. In addition, Gary conducted an art lesson, providing students with hands-on guidance and inspiring them with new techniques and perspectives.
Gary’s presence was both heartwarming and motivating for students and staff alike. He expressed being deeply moved and pleasantly surprised by the energy, creativity, and resilience of the children and shared very positive feedback about his experience
