Baraha School recently hosted a successful Headteachers’ Meeting and Good Practices Sharing Session, focusing on academic excellence, extracurricular activities (ECA), and effective school management. The event brought together 12 headteachers and 10 ECA teachers, fostering a collaborative space for discussion, reflection, and learning.

Mr. Suresh Gurung, Headteacher of Baraha School, opened the session by sharing the school’s best practices and management strategies, highlighting the collaborative efforts of teachers, the School Management Committee (SMC), and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). Mr. Rajan Baral, ECA Coordinator, offered valuable insights into the strategic management of extracurricular activities within the school. Adding an international perspective, Mr. Rabin Nepali shared his experiences of ECA practices from both private and government schools in England, emphasizing the role of extracurricular activities in holistic student development.

Participants were further inspired by motivational stories shared by Ms. Padam Kumari Sunuwar and Ms. Nitu Tamang, while Ms. Katy, Educational Advisor at Right4Children, provided a session on classroom management and educational practices in England, enriching the discussions with global insights.

The formal session was followed by friendly sports activities, including a 5-A-Side Football match, Back Run Race, Jumping Track, and Tug of War, allowing teachers to relax, enjoy, and build teamwork. Enthusiastic participation created a lively and engaging atmosphere, reinforcing camaraderie among educators.

The session successfully combined learning, inspiration, and fun, leaving participants motivated to implement best practices in their schools. Baraha School congratulates all teachers for their active engagement and commitment to improving both academic and extracurricular experiences for students.
